We are excited to announce that starting Monday, October 6, Onteora Middle School will open an After-School Independent Study Room. This program will provide students with a quiet, structured space to complete assignments, work on projects, or read.

The Independent Study Room will run daily from 2:45 to 4:15 p.m. and will be supervised by staff. Please note that this is not a hangout space. Students are expected to work quietly and independently. Cell phones are not permitted, though Chromebooks may be used for schoolwork.

A clipboard sign-up sheet for up to 20 students will be posted outside the MS office. Participation will be limited to the first 20 students who sign up.

This Independent Study Room is in addition to the after-school homework help sessions that are already running. Students are welcome to take advantage of both opportunities depending on their needs.

Homework Help Sessions run Monday through Thursday. There is a sign-up sheet
posted daily outside of room 155. Students should sign up before 9th period.
