Supply Lists

Dear Sixth Grade Parents,                         
Wow! Can you believe summer’s almost over?  Soon we’ll be back-to-school!
Welcome to a new school year! We are excited to welcome you to 6th grade and look forward to an amazing year of learning, growth, and success.

This year, students will explore many interesting topics in mathematics, reading, writing, science, and social studies. We will work together to build strong academic skills, develop confidence, and create a positive classroom community where everyone feels respected and supported.

The Sixth Grade Team would like to officially welcome everyone on Thursday, August 27th, between 4:30-6:30 pm for 6th grade orientation and locker set-up.

The Sixth Grade Team:

All of the supplies your child will need are provided by  the school.  We know, however, that many students like to come with their own hand-picked supplies.

Here’s our suggested list: 

• Math - composition book; 2-pocket folder 
• Science - composition book 
• Writing - 3-ring binder; composition book 
• Reading - composition book; 2-pocket folder
• Social Studies - 2-pocket folder; 1-inch (small) 3-ring binder 
• Pencils, pens, erasers, color pencils 
• Boxes of tissues for the class (optional) 

We are also excited to offer a Summer Reading Passport for our incoming 6th grade students. The passport includes fun reading challenges, library activities, and creative opportunities designed to help students stay connected to reading while getting excited about their transition to middle school. 

The Summer Reading Lists and Incoming 6th Grade Summer Reading Passport are available on the Middle School webpage. We wish all of our students and families a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable summer filled with great books and new adventures.

Dear Seventh Grade Parents and Guardians, 

The 7th Grade Team welcomes you to the 2026-2027 school year. We hope you've had an enjoyable summer. We look forward to meeting your child and working together to ensure a strong, successful year. 

School Supplies: 
Below is the required school supply list. If you need assistance with supplies, please reach out to your child’s school counselor (guidance). We want every student prepared and ready to learn:

• Pencils - plenty to last the year 
• Home and Careers: 1" Binder, Pencil Pouch for 3 Ring Binder, #2 Pencils, Cap Erasers 
• Spanish: 1" binder, marble composition book 
• Intensive English: 1" binder, pencil bag 
• Social Studies: 1" binder 
• English: Post-it notes 
• Science (with Mrs. Proietti): 1" binder, dividers 
• Math: 1.5" binder, 5 dividers 
• Physical Education: deodorant, sneakers, t-shirt 

Expectations and Reminders: 

• Charge Chromebooks each night and bring them to school fully charged. 
• Label Chromebooks and chargers with the student's full name (labels provided if needed). 
• Backpacks, phones, smart watches, and earbuds must be kept in lockers during the school day. 
• In case of emergency, call the main office at (845) 657-2373. 
• Hoods and hats are not permitted in the building. 
• Students are expected to arrive on time and be prepared with all required materials. 

Communication: 
We use Infinite Campus, Parent Portal, Google Classroom, and ParentSquare for updates. Additional information will be provided at Open House in September. 

Summer is a wonderful opportunity for students to relax, explore new interests, and enjoy a great book. We encourage all students to make reading a part of their summer routine.

Our summer reading list features engaging titles to help students discover new authors, explore different topics, and continue growing as readers. There is something for everyone!

Dear Eight Grade Parents and Guardians:

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year. We hope you had a wonderful summer and look forward to getting to know your child and meeting you at Open House in September. We are writing to touch base about our expectations to ensure a successful school year for all.

Please ensure that your child does the following at home: 

• Students should charge their Chromebook each evening.
• Students should label both their Chromebook and charger with their full name (we can provide labels if needed). 

During the school day, we will enforce the following expectations:

• Students are expected to keep their phones and earbuds in their lockers during the school day.
• In the event of an emergency, please call the main office at (845) 657-2373.
• Students are not permitted to wear hoods and hats in the building.
• Students will keep their backpacks in their lockers during the day.
• Students will arrive at school and class on time.
• Students will come to class prepared with their required materials (Chromebooks charged) 

Here are the supplies that students will need for eighth grade:

• 2 packages of pencils to get the year started. Please restock as necessary.
• Three-ring binder - 1.5 inch,  One subject spiral notebook with lined paper and pencil pouch (English)
•  t-shirt, deodorant and sneakers to keep in their PE locker (physical education)
• 1 -Three-ring binder- 2 inch or more to be shared (science, social studies, Spanish). 
• Accelerated Math and Science students will need an additional three-ring binder.
• 2 packages of binder dividers
• 2 - two-pocket folders (technology and health).

We use the following means of communication with parents: the parent portal on Infinite Campus, Parent Square, and Guardian email summaries from Google Classroom. More information about this will be provided at Open House. We look forward to returning to school and working with your children as they grow into young adults.
