7th and 8th Grade Special Education Teacher

 

 

As a 7th and 8th grade special education teacher this year, my responsibilities include managing middle school students' IEPs, acting as your child's "Lead Teacher",  and teaching both 7th and 8th grade Intensive Math Classes.  I am the Intensive Math Teacher for grade 7 and 8.  I also see students for an Academic Reinforcement.  This class  is used to re-teach  prior lessons, provide assistance with homework completion,  assist with organizational skills that are a necessity for a successful Middle School year, and we will also be using this class to work on getting students ready for the 8th Grade NY State Tests.

 

I also will be a consultant teacher in both 7th and 8th grade this year.  I will be working with Mrs. VanBaren in 8th grade science and Mrs. Cavallaro in 7th grade math.

Grading scale for Intensive Math classes (both 7th and 8th):

Behavior - 10%

Classwork - 25%

Homework - 25%

Tests and Quizzes - 40%
